Big Sky, Montana wildlife encounter caught on video as moose charges toward woman and her dogs

Another epic nature video is making the rounds online.

Just yesterday we saw a Canadian hiker have a run in with multiple grizzly bears and leave unscathed. Now, we have a little moose action.

Moose charges into Montana backyard.

NBC Montana shared some awesome footage Tuesday on Instagram of a moose charging into a woman’s backyard in Big Sky, Montana.

“CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH MAMA MOOSE: Check out this video of a close encounter a woman and her dogs had with a mama moose in Big Sky, Montana. Thanks to Shelly Thorburn for sending in the video,” the caption on the video states.

Fortunately, the woman was able to react quickly enough, despite a minor tumble, and hit the massive moose with some kind of spray to keep the wild animal away from her dogs.

For those of you who might not know (I’ve touched on it a few times in previous articles), I used to live in Montana.

It’s arguably a top-two most beautiful state in America. The only other one in the conversation is Maine. Despite having lived in Montana, I can safely say I never witnessed a moose running into a backyard occupied by family pets.

It’s just the latest example that you always need to keep your head on a swivel whenever you’re potentially in range of wild animals.
