New Spyderco and ZT Headline Labor Day Deals at KnivesShipFree

Labor Day Weekend is here – and with it, another round of tantalizing sales and specials. KnivesShipFree is offering their traditional double points weekend, and they have two very special knives headlining the weekend deals.

Spyderco Jess Horn Lockback

Now this is the return of a true classic. The late Jess Horn was one of the greats in the custom scene, someone whose work speaks for itself and is spoken of in hushed tones by collectors. He paired pared down designs with exquisite fit and finish, and each Horn custom was an elevated expression of the utility and beauty of the folding knife. The Jess Horn Lockback first appeared in the Spyderco catalog in 1997, and has always been a sought-after favorite for Spyderco fans.

This limited re-release goes all out in terms of materials. The handle scales are natty, full dress carbon fiber, while the sinuous, tapering blade is made from CPM Cru-Wear, a real heavy hitter super steel that Spyderco has been a production advocate for for several years now.

ZT 203 Factory Special Series

Zero Tolerance glammed up the 203 for their own Labor Day special. The 203 model saw ZT returning to its hard use, big boy folder roots, albeit with the additional refinement they’ve cultivated in later years. When it released in 2025, it was the first Zero Tolerance model to be outfitted with the DuraLock, the ambidextrous Axis-like that ZT parent company KAI first debuted over under the Kershaw banner.

Olive drab Micarta scales play up the 203’s tactical, rugged characteristics, as does the working finish on the 4-inch drop point blade. Instead of CPM M4, this FSS version comes in M390, which gives it a big boost in terms of corrosion resistance while maintaining high edge retention. Black hardware rounds out the look here, and the listed weight on this tank is 6.6 oz.

20% Off Shun Knives Classic H.G. 7″ Santoku

And, while we’re on the topic of KAI, we’d like to point out another Labor Day special from Shun, their kitchen knife brand. This all-purpose Santoku is made from hollow-ground, damascus-clad VG-MAX, which is a longwinded way of saying that it is a performer on the cutting board. Assuming you’ve followed our recommendations above, you’ve got two new EDC folders; why not get yourself a new daily driver for the kitchen as well?

And remember, KSF is offering double rewards points on all purchases, all Labor Day weekend-long. That means 16 points for every dollar spent, and these points can be redeemed for store credit to be used on future purchases. So get shopping!
