Springfield Armory Echelon Pro Pistols

Springfield Armory has just given three models of its 9mm Echelon pistol the Pro treatment.

Springfield Armory has just launched the Echelon Pro Comp line, featuring the 4.0C Compact, 4.0FC Hybrid, and the 4.5F Full-Size. At their core is the same Central Operating Group that’s found in standard Echelon pistols, but the new Pro models boast several enhancements as well.

The most noticeable new feature on the Echelon Pro models is the LightForged grip texture. Etched into the grip by precision lasers, the cracked-earth-like grip texture called Badlands provides excellent traction and hand-feel as well as an attractive, visually distinctive flair. Other upgrades include a removable machined steel flared magwell, a stainless steel guide rod, and a tritium front sight with a luminescent orange ring.

Because these are Comp models, all Echelon Pros come with integrally compensated slides, but the Pro versions receive a Springfield Grey Cerakote finish. Naturally, they’re optics-ready as well via Springfield’s Variable Interface System. Each Echelon Pro pistol also ships with three extended magazines. For the 4.0C, they’re 18-rounders, and for the 4.0FC and 4.5F they’re 20-rounders.

Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory, said this about the new pistols:

At its launch, the Echelon quickly established itself as a premier 9mm duty pistol with cutting-edge performance and a highly modular design … The new Echelon Pro takes that solid foundation and adds a wide range of performance-oriented enhancements to further expand this platform’s already impressive capabilities.

Springfield’s Echelon Pro Comp pistols all have an MSRP of $899 and are available now.
