Canik has just launched a new line of pistol optics, initially featuring four models across the ONYX and PHANTOM families.
No longer just a pistol manufacturer, Canik has expanded its product offerings quite a bit recently. Like many other companies, it entered the suppressor market earlier this year with the VOID series, and now it’s joining the electronic optic market as well with the ONYX and PHANTOM pistol red dot lines.
The ONYX family of red dots are Canik’s open-emitter models. Designed for concealed carry pistols, the ONYXc is small and mounts via an RMSc footprint. It has an advertised 50,000-hour battery life (CR1620 battery), 10 auto-adjusting brightness levels, and three reticle options (3-MOA dot, 32-MOA circle, or both). MSRP is $259.99.
The ONYX XL is competition-focused and features a large viewing window and a 6-MOA red dot. It mounts via an RMR footprint, has an advertised 50,000-hour battery life (CR1632), 10 manually adjustable brightness levels, and motion-activation/shake-awake. Both ONYX optics also have a side-load battery tray so you don’t need to remove them from your gun to swap batteries. MSRP is $259.99.
As for the PHANTOM optics line, both models are enclosed designs and feature solar panels to supplement the CR1620 batteries that power them. The standard PHANTOM red dot mounts via an RMR footprint, while the PHANTOMc mounts via an RMSc footprint. Otherwise, both PHANTOM optics feature selectable reticles (3-MOA dot, 32-MOA circle, or both) and 10 auto-adjusting brightness levels. All Canik pistol optics also have motion-activation and shake-awake technology to preserve battery life. Both PHANTOM dots have an MSRP of $299.99.
Adam Ruonala, VP Sales & Marketing at Canik USA, said this about the new optics line:
Canik has never been about simply meeting expectations. We’ve built our reputation by delivering more innovation, more performance, and more value than shooters expect at every price point … The launch of CANIK OPTICS is a natural extension of that philosophy. Our customers asked for optics that embody the same standards they trust in their Canik pistols, and that’s exactly what we’ve created. These products are designed to enhance the shooting experience not only for Canik owners but for anyone looking for high-performance optics built with purpose.
